Community spirit

Last week some Year 4 children visited Tish Murtha House as part of an inter-generational project to bring together the Communities in Elswick.  Tish Murtha was a renowned photographer, who captured scenes from the West End of Newcastle.  Her daughter, Ella, spoke to the children about her Mother's work, and the children had conversations with the residents about their memories of growing up in our area.  We were also given a polaroid camera so that we can continue to capture events and people in and around our school.
