Year 3 visit Durham University

Year 3 had a prehistory workshop at Durham University's Palace Green library. The children learnt about the early humans from the Palaeolithic period and examined replicas of artefacts from the Mesolithic (Hunter gatherers), Neolithic (Farmers), Bronze age (Craftspeople) and Iron Age (warriors) periods.

The class had opportunities to investigate objects found in the stone age to iron age displayed inside the Museum of Archaeology.
