Under 9 football cup

Tonight our under 9 boys football team played in the Newcastle schools FA cup. This was the first time playing as a team and they produced some excellent and resilient football throughout. First up, they played Farne primary and played out a great 1-1 draw against a strong team. Next up, they comfortably beat St Cuthbert’s Kenton 4-1. Finally, they came up against a strong English Martyrs team and came away with a 1-1 draw. This meant we finished with the same record as Farne which meant we had to play a final game playoff to decide the winners. A close game which went right to the wire which Farne won 1-0 scoring in the last 30 seconds. Overall the boys played with a smile and great teamwork throughout. You have made St Michaels proud boys.
