Y3 go to South Shields!

On Tuesday 2nd July 2019, year 3 visited South Shields for their Coast topic fieldtrip. They walked a staggering 20,000 steps that day from South Shields metro to the end of the promenade at Sandhaven and back again. The pupils discovered many examples of physical geography including features of erosion such as cave, stacks and stumps. They counted how many waves hit the beach in one minute using a tally chart. As well as physical geography they investigated human geography to find examples of sports activities, jobs and local attractions in the area.
