Which material is best to protect the Queen's dog?

Year 1 are learning about different materials, and how to be scientists. They had a question ( from The Queen!) and then had to test their ideas. The Queen wanted to know how to keep her dog dry in case it rains at Harry and Meghan’s wedding. Year 1 thought about different materials and which might be suitable, using science vocabulary to justify their choice. Finally we had to test the materials to see if they were waterproof. Oh dear! Some children wished they had not suggested a towelling material! Look at the photographs to see the fun everyone had.
