Investigating Plants!
The children from the Year 1 bubble have been interested in the leeks that have been growing in the vegetable patch outside their classroom. Today we looked at the plants – which have been left so long they have gone to seed. The seeds are enclosed in the bulb at the top of the stem – and we agreed that it looks very strange. The children used their observation skills to sketch the leeks, and also noticed the different colours.
