Girls Football

The girls football team continued their season in the prestigious Northern Cross cup tonight. In their 1st game they played a strong St Mark's team, losing a close game 1-0. Next up was St Cuthberts Kenton, leading 2-1 right up until the last kick of the game where they scored to make it 2-2. This game also doubled up in the Becky MND cup meaning the game went to penalties which St Cuthberts won 3-2 which means we now out of that cup. Finally we played a strong St Charles team who beat us 3-1 meaning we also bow out of the Northern Cross cup. Heads held high, the girls played with great spirit throughout. Well done Girls onto the League and the Northumberland round of the ESFA Danone Nations cup after half term.
