Year 4 had a fantastic morning learning about Ancient Greece, with the help from Durham University. They took part in an online lesson that involved investigating Greek artefacts, learning about Greek buildings ( Ionic, Doric and Corinthian pillars) and finally acted out a Greek Tragedy. It was an excellent way to learn and the whole class had lots of fun.
This morning in year 3 and 4, we had an exciting author visit from Maddie Moate- the author of the book ‘Stuff’. Stuff is all about helping the planet become more eco-friendly. We discovered some incredible facts from around the world such as Elephant poo paper, thunder bread, maglev trains and clay cups.
Today the Year 4 Mini Vinnies led an assembly on World Youth Day. They shared Pope Francis’ message to young people: ‘Stand up, you are called to be a witness. Don’t wait until tomorrow to share your energy and creativity to change our world. You are the now of God!’
Y3 took part in a Performing Arts Day at Sacred Heart High School. They participated in drama, music and magic activities. They had lots of fun! We would like to thank the Sacred Heart staff for being so welcoming.
