Homework

Every week, children will be given a reading book that is linked to their reading ability. ​

​

Your child will be given a specific reading day to return their book to school each week. On this day, they will read with a member of staff and be given a new reading book for the following week. ​

​

In your child’s reading record book, you can write comments to let staff know when you have read with your child. ​

​

Your child will be given weekly core homework every Thursday. The homework is to be returned to school by the following Tuesday. The weekly core homework will include the weekly spelling list and an activity, maths and an oracy activity. The homework will be linked to the learning that we have been doing that week in school.​

Family homework will be issued at the start of each term. This will be activities and tasks you can complete as a family that links to your child's learning in school.
