Year 2 Mental Health Awareness week

This morning, Year 2 went and spent some time outside. We listened to the sounds we could hear and took a moment of calm. We then shared a new story called, A Little Bit Brave. We talked about the feelings and emotions the bunny felt in the book. We spent some time talking to our friends about how we felt this morning before school. We know that this week is Mental Health Awareness week, this means keeping our minds healthy and to feel comfortable talking about our emotions. We know being outside in nature can help us be calm and relaxed. In small groups we looked up at the clouds and talked to our friends about the shapes we could see. It was a lovely activity to start our day reflecting and relaxing.
