We have been learning about garden design and what it means to have a formal garden and an informal garden. The children practised their observational skills by drawing leaves. Look at the detail! Then they designed their ideal garden – some were formal, with straight lines and paths, some were informal with curves and different trees and plants -just like Capability Brown.
