First Holy Communion
Yesterday some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children made their First Holy Communion at St Michael's Church. The children were fantastic role models and we are so proud of you all. Thank you to the teachers and families who helped prepare the children for this special day.
Tonight the boys football team played their second set of fixtures in the league. First up they played Stocksfield and ran out 3-0 winners. Next up, they played a strong St Cuthbert's Kenton team and produced a great performance to win 4-1. Next, they played English Martyrs and ran out comfortable 3-1 winners. Finally, they played Westgate Hill and produced a dominant performance running out 8-0 winners. That means we sit top of the league with 7 wins out of 7 with 5 games to
Year 1 make Seaside Souvenirs
We made some Seaside Souvenirs using binca. We carefully threaded our needles and threaded lines to make a seaside pattern. We used blue for the sea and yellow for the sand.
Vertebrates and Invertebrate
Year 4 enjoyed investigating vertebrates and invertebrates this afternoon. We found some woodlice and spiders under a plant pot, and looked at their exoskeleton. As part of their learning they discussed what we humans would be like if we didn't have a skeleton! Lots of interesting answers, including "You wouldn't break any bones".
Reception Math's Cafe
Thank you to all the parents who came to our Reception Maths Cafe. We had so much fun recognising and forming numbers!
The Reception and Year 5 Buddies have enjoyed playing in the Secret Garden and reading stories together this afternoon.
