It was a real treat for St Michael's to hear what Year 4 and 5 have been learning in their violin lessons since the start of the year. The skill and talent which the children have acquired in such a short time is excellent. It was great to have so much support from our families there too.
Some of Year 4 entertained the shoppers of Eldon Square this afternoon with some beautiful carol singing. The children used their best voices and showed their best smiles to spread some Christmas cheer!
Mrs Chapman and Miss Fowler were so proud of some of our Mini Vinnies this morning who attended mass at St Michael’s. The girls introduced themselves and spoke about the amazing work the Mini Vinnies have done so far this year. They also gave out invites to our Carols By Candlelight service on Thursday! Well done girls!
Year 4 had a very exciting day at the Museum of Archaeology in Durham today! We used all of our Greek knowledge on all the challenges we were set. We predicted what each Greek artefact was, and we also got chanced to act out a Greek play. Year 4 were excellent ambassadors for St Michael's!
Reception posted their letters to Santa today. They walked to the Post Office and gave the lady their letter. We have been writing our letters to Santa, all week and now we have posted them! We are very excited for Santa to come on Christmas Eve!
