Tasty fun in the Year 1 Cafe

Year 1 continued their investigation of senses, this week our focus was the sense of taste. We looked at our tongues and talked about where on the tongue the sweet/sour/salty tastes could be distinguished. Then we invited the children to the Year 1 café to investigate different food. Mini Vinnies visit St Joseph's

This afternoon, our newly commissioned Mini Vinnies went to visit the residents at St Joseph's care home. We took reading books to read with them, and even created invites to give to them for our Carols by Candlelight concert. We had a festive afternoon with them where we helped them make Christmas wreaths. The Mini Vinnies were excellent ambassadors for St Michael's and really brought joy to the residents of St Joseph's.

We trialled different methods and predicted which would make our bulb light up. E

    Well done Boys!

The boys football season continued tonight in the Bob Maddison City cup. We played a strong St Charles side, the game ended up 7-2 to St Michael's meaning we progress to the quarter finals. Well done team, a fantastic performance!
