The wonderful actors in the Shakespeare after school club had a visit from Ruth Johnson, a talented theatre director. Ruth is helping with our staging of our Act from Macbeth, and the St Michael’s actors will work on her suggestions for delivering lines, moving around the stage and the transition between scenes. We are all so excited to be part of the performance – and it is brilliant to see the confidence and enjoyment of everyone. Details of the performance, which is alon
We are very proud of Y3 for receiving such fantastic feedback, from their trip to the rising sun. The following letter was sent to Mr Conway. Dear Mr Conway, I just wanted to let you know how much we have enjoyed working with your Year 3 children today. They were all extremely well behaved, enthusiastic and engaged. The asked some great questions and displayed some great thinking skills when it came to answering ours. Your staff were all also fantastic. We thought that the tr
As part of our topic, Our Wonderful World, we have become world explorers. For our first expedition we explored The United Kingdom where we sampled some British delicacies such as Yorkshire puddings and scones with jam and cream. Yum!
This week in year 2 we have been busy getting to grips with measuring using different tools. We measured objects around the classroom in centimetres and metres and we had a lot of fun measuring our heights using the metre rulers.
A brilliant and sunny day for Y3 today, as they went to the Rising Sun. They experienced life as a Stone Age girl! They made their own bread built dens. A great day out!

After lunch, they had a go at weaving before throwing rotten fruit at Mrs Exley in the stocks! A brilliant day!
Year 1 are learning about length and height and have been using standard measure ( metre sticks) and non standard measure ( footprints) to investigate the playground and outdoor area. Lots of counting and teamwork – well done Year 1.
Year 1 have been monitoring the growth of their tadpoles. They have watched the tadpoles come out of the frog spawn, and now they are in our tank in the classroom. We have to put fresh pond water in twice a week, and each day we notice something different. We record it in our ‘Tadpole Watch’ book. Noor - At first they were little jellies and now they have grown into tadpoles. Their tails look spikey. Amelia – They are getting bigger and fatter. I like how they wiggle. J
