At St Michael's, we respect and care for ourselves and each other.

We work hard and try our best to use the gifts that God has given to us.

We are a rapidly improving, happy school and a place where we are very proud of our pupils.  In October 2016 we were placed in Special Measures by OFSTED.  Since then we have embarked on a process of rapid school improvement which has resulted in significant progress in all areas of school life.

We are determined that St Michael’s becomes an outstanding school soon.

Aspirational Campaign- 'One World, Once Community, One Elswick!'

This term our aspirational campaign celebrates the unique and diverse community of St Michael's.

We are fortunate to have such an amazing school family and we know that working together with pupils, parents, staff and local services we can achieve more.

In February our pupils will be taking part in Community Engagement Week where they will give back to the Elswick neighbourhood and make a positive contribution to their local area.

If you would like to be part of our campaign this term, you can do so in a number of ways. You could volunteer to listen to our pupils read, run a lunchtime club or perhaps you could support at our weekly Stay and Play sessions. If you would like more information or think you could help in any way, please leave your details at the school office.

Together we achieve more.

Thank you,

Mrs Chapman

Feedback from Greggs!

Just wanted to email to say how much I enjoyed the visit to your Breakfast club this morning. On arrival we were made to feel so welcome, the staff were amazing! Their dedication and genuine love for their jobs shone through, they really are fantastic ambassadors for St Michaels. The children we met were an absolute joy, and it was great to see them getting stuck into nutritious breakfasts and also chatting / playing with their friends, what was especially pleasing was how the different age groups interacted with each other.

Comment from one of our school parents:

'I would like to say a huge thank you to every member of staff at St Michaels, they have been a tremendous support to the children I have looked after. The children and ourselves have went through some very difficult, emotional, worrying and challenging times, the staff were always caring, supportive and helpful and in tune with the children's needs. Everyone helped to make a difficult situation more manageable, and for that we can't thank you enough'
